Very nice and clean place
We stayed at this condo Room 36 on October 24,2003 for 5 nights. This was a very clean and spacious room.Overlooking the ocean. The weather was a bit humid so we had to use the air conditioner it worked great. There was 1 in the living room and 1 in the bedroom. We had a washer and dryer and 2 full bathrooms. This was great for a 1 bdrm. The staff is excellent. Upon check in we rec'd a 2 for 1 certificate for luau it was so much fun. I will definately stay here again, next time we will bring the kids.
Stayed here in Sept 03. I have no complaints at all. The staff was extremely helpful and the condo was beautiful. Our particular unit had very very nice furniture. I would definetly stay here again. The location is very good, everything is good. Highly recommend!
Great place to stay!
The Maui Hill was a great place to stay! We were there the last week in August and could not have been happier with our stay. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo. It was beautiful and very spacious. There was air-conditioning throughout (one in the living room and one in each bedroom. The full kitchen helped us save money as we did not have to eat out for each meal. Our first stop when we left the airport was at costco which is very close to the airport. We were able to buy all the food and alcohol we needed for the week. Although we were surprised to find a variety of restaurants close to the Maui Hill. The people at the front desk are very helpful and there are menus in the lobby for many of the local places. There are great beaches near by. Renting a car was a must as everything was close but not close enough to walk to. We will definately be going back to Maui. Next time we plan to take our children and will again stay at the Maui Hill. It seems very family friendly and has plenty of space for active kids. If you get to Lahaina, you should try Bubba Gump's restaurant. It was great fun, even better food, and the prices were very reasonable. We found a great little cove south of Kihei to go snorkeling. It was beautiful! There were lots of other adventures we went on as well - swimming with dolphins was the highlight. Explore and enjoy!
Four thumbs up for Maui Hill
My husband and I were pleasantly and extremely pleased with our accommodations at Maui Hill. We stayed there from 8/27-8/31. Our one-bedroom condo was spacious, attractive, clean and in just the right spot (room 30). It overlooked the pool and we had a nice ocean view.
Parking was convenient and never a problem. The hotel registration personnel was friendly and helpful. There was a full kitchen, washer and dryer, 1-3/4 baths and air conditioning, although we never used it since the cross breeze we got from the kitchen and balcony doors was good enough for us. The showers worked very well and there was a television in both the livingroom and bedroom, which was great when my husband and I wanted to watch different shows; there was even a nice compact stereo system, which we also used.
We would highly recommend it and my husband and I agree that we would stay there again, no questions asked.
An Excellent ValueWe stayed here in August 2003 in a one bedroom unit.
It was nicely decorated ala Golden Girls and came with a full, clean kitchen. The unit had two air conditioners, both worked very well and two nice decks. The unit was clean and spacious and in good condition.
It was perfect for our stay. We could not walk to a beach from our unit and had no view from our two lovely decks, but it was no big deal to drive to the beach for us. The location was great, the last place in Kehei before you reach the luxury resorts of Wailea. The pull out couch was not fit to sleep on, but they did send us a twin roll away. The sheets and bedding were nice and soft.
We stayed in a 3br / 3bth condo. It was very spacious and clean. We had a full kitchen and there is a bbq outside to use. Nice ocean views and very close to the beach. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
We stayed at the Maui Hill last November and I have just booked us another 2 1/2 week stay for this coming November '03. The resort was wonderful! Everybody at the front desk was very friendly and helpful (we had an incident with the blender [too many pina colada's] and they replaced it that day!)The resort is older, but the maintenance is kept up, and the cleaning staff do a really good job! Not a far walk to the beach...however the walk back and get a little tiring. The two bedroom was very spacious, enough room for 4 adults and a child...without getting into each others way!I would definately recommend the Maui Hill to anyone looking for a condominium styled resort!
Loved Maui Hill
The condo was immaculate and the grounds were manicured to perfection.
The staff was helpful and friendly. This is a beautiful place to stay.

South of Kihei there are some really good beaches, e.g Big beach - white sands, wide and not that overcrowded; and Kamaole beach park. In between there is a city Wailea, high end hotel resorts and shopping center. We ...

Among the choices were prime rib, fried oysters, oysters on the half shell, king crab legs, a ginger spiced fish dish, roasted red potatoes with rosemary, shrimp tempura, veggie medley, and a lot of deserts. The desert I chose was haupia. It was made from coconut. I didn't like it at all. Sunday we toned it down a little and went across the street to McDonalds. ... spot for our towels and head for the water. I'm heartened because there are two snorkeling tour boats anchored out on the right side of the bay. Getting into the water is tricky because of the rocks but the bay is so sheltered that there is virtually no surf. As I lowered my head into the water my heart sank - it was murky, sandy. I tapped Jeff and pointed out by the tour catamarans. "Let's head that way. The boats always drop off at the best spots." It was a ...

There is a good garden of the silversword plants, a shelter with views all around, and a path to an overlook. There is a road to the complex of observatories, but there is construction work going on, and no public access, so we take photos and head back down to the Haleakala Visitor Centre which is right on the edge ...
