    Very nice and clean place

    from

We stayed at this condo Room 36 on October 24,2003 for 5 nights. This was a very clean and spacious room.Overlooking the ocean. The weather was a bit humid so we had to use the air conditioner it worked great. There was 1 in the living room and 1 in the bedroom. We had a washer and dryer and 2 full bathrooms. This was great for a 1 bdrm. The staff is excellent. Upon check in we rec'd a 2 for 1 certificate for luau it was so much fun. I will definately stay here again, next time we will bring the kids.

    Very impressed

    from

Stayed here in Sept 03. I have no complaints at all. The staff was extremely helpful and the condo was beautiful. Our particular unit had very very nice furniture. I would definetly stay here again. The location is very good, everything is good. Highly recommend!

    Great place to stay!

    from

The Maui Hill was a great place to stay! We were there the last week in August and could not have been happier with our stay. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo. It was beautiful and very spacious. There was air-conditioning throughout (one in the living room and one in each bedroom. The full kitchen helped us save money as we did not have to eat out for each meal. Our first stop when we left the airport was at costco which is very close to the airport. We were able to buy all the food and alcohol we needed for the week. Although we were surprised to find a variety of restaurants close to the Maui Hill. The people at the front desk are very helpful and there are menus in the lobby for many of the local places. There are great beaches near by. Renting a car was a must as everything was close but not close enough to walk to. We will definately be going back to Maui. Next time we plan to take our children and will again stay at the Maui Hill. It seems very family friendly and has plenty of space for active kids. If you get to Lahaina, you should try Bubba Gump's restaurant. It was great fun, even better food, and the prices were very reasonable. We found a great little cove south of Kihei to go snorkeling. It was beautiful! There were lots of other adventures we went on as well - swimming with dolphins was the highlight. Explore and enjoy!

Four thumbs up for Maui Hill

    from

My husband and I were pleasantly and extremely pleased with our accommodations at Maui Hill. We stayed there from 8/27-8/31. Our one-bedroom condo was spacious, attractive, clean and in just the right spot (room 30). It overlooked the pool and we had a nice ocean view.

Parking was convenient and never a problem. The hotel registration personnel was friendly and helpful. There was a full kitchen, washer and dryer, 1-3/4 baths and air conditioning, although we never used it since the cross breeze we got from the kitchen and balcony doors was good enough for us. The showers worked very well and there was a television in both the livingroom and bedroom, which was great when my husband and I wanted to watch different shows; there was even a nice compact stereo system, which we also used.

We would highly recommend it and my husband and I agree that we would stay there again, no questions asked.

    Great Value!!

    from

An Excellent ValueWe stayed here in August 2003 in a one bedroom unit.

It was nicely decorated ala Golden Girls and came with a full, clean kitchen. The unit had two air conditioners, both worked very well and two nice decks. The unit was clean and spacious and in good condition.

It was perfect for our stay. We could not walk to a beach from our unit and had no view from our two lovely decks, but it was no big deal to drive to the beach for us. The location was great, the last place in Kehei before you reach the luxury resorts of Wailea. The pull out couch was not fit to sleep on, but they did send us a twin roll away. The sheets and bedding were nice and soft.

    Nice place

    from

We stayed in a 3br / 3bth condo. It was very spacious and clean. We had a full kitchen and there is a bbq outside to use. Nice ocean views and very close to the beach. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

    Going Again!

    from

We stayed at the Maui Hill last November and I have just booked us another 2 1/2 week stay for this coming November '03. The resort was wonderful! Everybody at the front desk was very friendly and helpful (we had an incident with the blender [too many pina colada's] and they replaced it that day!)The resort is older, but the maintenance is kept up, and the cleaning staff do a really good job! Not a far walk to the beach...however the walk back and get a little tiring. The two bedroom was very spacious, enough room for 4 adults and a child...without getting into each others way!I would definately recommend the Maui Hill to anyone looking for a condominium styled resort!

... keen on driving the Hana Highway in wet swimsuits. The Iao Valley park is one of the only battle sites in Hawaii. Most battles in Hawaii had very little bloodshed, but the battle here took a lot of lives. There was a stream and a waterfall as well as some pretty plants. It is situated between beautiful mountains and is the second most rainy place on the island. I also arrived to my hotel to a care package from Grandma and Grandad. I loved everything and really needed it. I miss you ...

... highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Kobe beef poke. Lightly seared and left rare in the middle, the flavor was uniquely savory and succulent. Pre and post-meal Honey Basil Fresh (gin, muddled basil, local honey and fresh lime juice), Molokini Tini (vodka, puréed ginger and a squeeze of lemon) and Kokui Nut Coffee (hazelnut liquer, espresso vodka and kokui nut flavored coffee topped with whipped cream) cocktails ...

... pulled up and saw dozens of cars circling the tiny lot, we were glad that we did. Our taxi driver was a talkative man who had immigrated from Vietnam and had lived in Maui for over 20 years. He gave us the inside scoop on what restaurants on the island were good and which were too pricey for the quality. He also told us that the luau we had selected was the best and most authentic on the island.

... we headed to another big box area that we had seen previously, a couple stores there we wandered around - but Pier 1 doesn't have anything we don't have in Canada - it wasted some time though :)

The sun was beginning to set, and that was our cue to head to the airport - unfortunately we were on the wrong side of the island to see the sun going down, but the sky was pretty nonetheless. We knew we had plenty of time, but weren't sure how long or how ...

... It stands alone. The backdrop of the West Maui mountains makes it stand out beautifully. There are two walking paths here. We don't need our hiking boots as both of these little trails are paved and take about 10 minutes each to walk. The smell of fallen guava is wonderful and there are some nice photo places. I'm so happy we came here. It is green and calming...the fragrances are better than any aromatherapy "session." If you are interested in hearing about ...
