... Good thing we did that since the second hike we had planned for Haleakala was currently closed. We then started our hike down the Halemu'u trail where we descended into the crater via some rocky switch backs. Both Scott and I opted to use our trekking poles here. After a necessary hour-long nap, we cleaned up and met our new friends for dinner at a traditional Hawaiian restaurant specializing in the use of sugarcane called Ko at The Fairmont Hotel. I prefer Baldwin Beach which is much closer and in my opinion, nicer. The Western side is more dry and barren. Almost like Virginia in a dry summer. There were groves of trees that looked like a dying apple orchard. I know that's ...

... Mr Jane Fonda recently bought the rights and doesn't allow the tour to use them. We first went past the airport and saw a scene from George Clooneys, 2010 The Descendants. At Ahukini we saw Pagan Love Song, Donovan's Reef and Six Days Seven Nights. We got out and looked around the area and took photos. The trade winds have returned after four weeks and the breeze is lovely. When we got back on the bus we ordered our lunch of the fish sandwich. Honeymoon in Vegas ...
