          ... last.

          While waiting for the numbness to wear off we had a bash at badminton on the esplanade green; it’s a very pleasant day if a bit cloudier, but badminton does not work if there is much of a breeze. We sat instead on a bench by the Swan while a cheeky seagull squawked loudly in front of us.

          There is a regular ferry service from South Perth to the city and it leaves from just along from here; the fare is $2.10 to cross the Swan. It deposits you in the midst ...

          So we perched ourselves on the beach somewhere between sandy point and green head north of Jurien Bay. Forgetting it was a long weekend in Perth we made fun of the weekend campers who looked so clean and their cars so shiny! After not showering for 4 days we really felt disgusting!
