    The road from Bundaberg to Gympie is as bad as the previous few days, with road works causing regular delays. We lost the best part of an hour sitting in queues, and it was early afternoon by the time we reached the start of the motorway.

    From there the traffic moved much more quickly of course, but we were very pleased when we finally turned in to the Gold Coast around 3.00pm.
