6 hrs, 4 kms Barbados has the best public transportation by far of all the islands, starting from early in the morning until late at night. Also, thanks to a constant ocean breeze, it isn't as hot as the other islands. And it doesn't seem to have any really dangerous neighborhoods that I need to avoid... We hired a taxi for the day and a very gracious Bajan, Bernard Barrow took us all over the place. First stop was St. Nicholas Abbey in Cherry Tree Hill in St. Peter's Parrish. Now playing Yahtzee and Terry just got double Yahtzee! He is gloating. ...

There is a fridge in the room and a kettle and basic crockery, so we can self cater a little during the day. We had a breakthrough as I found some Tetley Decaf Tea Bags – hooray! Unfortunately tea is one thing that the Americans just cannot do, it is awful. After a quick bowl of cereal we headed to the beach ...
