In the parking lot I heard a guy telling someone that they were looking for license plates and they only needed New Mexico. I called his son over to see the New Mexico plate by where we parked. I was missing spotting license plates since we finished at Mt. Rushmore.

we had another view of the tall I-90 bridge from the lake. We also rode by a golf course by the lake
with a floating 14th hole! They have a little boat called "The Putter" that takes the
golfer out to that green so he can play that hole. It was built with Styrofoam

We took the 4000 mile car trip to the northwest only twice before. In 1983 on a three week national parks tour when both kids were still young. In 1996 when hm's family got together in the Blackhill for her 50th birthday celebration. This time Ray and I decided to drive so we can bike the 71 mile paved bike path of Coeur d'Alene in Idaho. We stayed at the Osprey Inn in Harrison, a town of 267 people ...

We headed down to Spokane today to catch an ice hockey game with the Schultes we also got to visit Cabelas and The Buck Factory. We also stopped at The Outback Steakhouse. We did nothing but giggle our asses off all day it was fun. We spent an hour or so at Cabelas, we bought some gifts for Len, Bobbi and Justin. It was definitely an experience. There were so many cars in the parking lot. I helped Len and Leatha pick some gifts out too. ...

... had gone down over the hills so it was cooling off. After looking at this campsite we elected to dry camp in a quieter section on the grass. We parked, dropped the levelers, slides out and went to the river to cool off. Aaahhhh!. A little salad for dinner and bed.

Planning ahead. Tomorrow We are thinking we rise early and just drive tomorrow out to eastern Montana, then can make it to Wyoming and South Dakota by end of Day 3? Hmm. will see.
