... is always humid, so it's not always a comfortable place to be walking around. La Rambla seemed very dead (though still very busy) compared to my first time here, even though I was first here even later in September - I'm not sure if it's due to the economic downturn, or because the last time was during La Merce, one of Barcelona's biggest festivals.
I tracked down the girls at American Soda Bar, and laughed when I sat down - they must've been hungry, because ...
... in the streets and pubs of Dublin. Kevin liked the pubs and beer, but I think he even enjoyed the acting too.

... anyway, so I went BA and got a really good deal (does no-one check their promo page anymore??) But where to stay? There are sme great hotels such as the Omm and the rather fancy Hotel Arts (I hear this is a bit bling). What I was after was a place with alot of character, so I actually plumped for an apartment that I found through Barcelona Flats. I was recommended it through a guy at work and 3 of us rented it out for around €150 a night, which was ...
Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands travelmax... and another that had five cheeses, with a bottle of red wine. All of it was really good. After we ate dinner, we all came back here and hung out for a little while and then Ness, mom, and I decided that we would go to bed early (around midnight) so we could get up and have a full well rested day of shopping in the morning. Rocky and Victor thought it would be a good idea to go out, so they went out and I wrote a little bit in my notebook, and then I fell to sleep as soon as I put my pen down.
Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands extremetraveler... incredible devotion that the people had that motivated them to build such magnificent buildings. But as you look at the incredible opulent religious adornments you can't help but ask yourself why people would spend so much not just for one church but several in every town. Lavish furniture, golden altars, untold dollars spent on magnificent paintings, adornments that in today's dollars would add up to the ...
Barcelona, Spain jwalters7... I only understood half of what was going on, but nonetheless it was enlightening. I don't know why I'm so tired. I've been getting 8-9 hours of sleep these nights but I always peter out in the afternoon. I am so excited to meet up with STsai in May. It will feel so good to be in Europe with a good, familiar, comfortable friend from home. Not that I haven't met cool people here but I'm starting to jumble life ...

Barcelona, Spain johnnyrader... before our flight time. While waiting for the flight, we took care of some administration items and wrote the journal. Feels good to be up to date even if we haven't uploaded it for a couple of weeks! We almost waited too long for the flight. What? We arrived at the gate at the time of boarding printed on our boarding cards and there was nothing going on. Even the monitors didn't even show that the plane was boarding. Figuring that they were running late, Gerald bought a ...
Estuve ...
Barcelona, Spain bermudez... I met some Australians having a good time (they were easy to pick out) then ran into a couple Spanish girls I had met up at the Alhambra. I hung out with the Spanish girls, but turns out they must be the only girls in Spain not into dancing/partying. Nevertheless, we stayed out 'til around 12:30am. I went back to the hostel and there was a mini-party going on there so I hung out with people there another hour or so before passing out in bed. Me duele en la cabeza ...
