    ... chicken skewers from woolworths for tea and took in the lovely sunset then went to Byron Bay to sleep. We drove around the town to get a feel for it and then went to a campsite to park up for the night as there were signs everywhere saying no camping, it was Splendor in the Grass festival in Brisbane so everywhere was busy and put their prices up but we managed to get a good deal when the girl felt sorry for us having nowhere to stay ...

    ... to talk to someone from the box office only to be told that asking for jobs in person really isn't done anymore and that I should go online. Looks like I'm a little old fashioned when it comes to wanting to make a good first impression. After the centre I walked a little further up the road but couldn't find anything.     ... It started raining whilst sitting on the beach trying to enjoy above-mentioned Dominos pizza. Sky turned particularly dark. Had to vacate beach and rush back to hostel.

    - Lifeguards discourage swimming in sea due to high volume of jellyfish and waves were too choppy for mere paddlers/swimmers and not choppy enough for surfers. So, not even a surfer's paradise. Place name is a complete FAIL.

    Gold Cost & Surfers Paradise

    The gold coast…hummmm…WOW!

    Our first impression seems different and this place has a luxury feel rather than a coastal area! We are staying with Garrick and Nabia in there amazing home! They live in an a Mexican palace!!....with a huge pool J!
