... was very fun- but i managed to get stuck at the top of the race slide (thanks boobs!) so lost miserably! Part of our theme park ticket included a trip up this building looking out over surfers paradise. We went up 77 floors, really really quickly, and it was amazing to look out, except we were aiming to see the sunset and missed it by about 30 seconds-clearly the lift wasn't fast enough! We had a drink & unsuccessfully tried to take a million ...

... It had never even occurred to me that we would need a visa for Australia. Fortunately, this was a problem solved by simply applying for and receiving our visas online (in fact the agent just did it for us, in unbelievably, a green screen interface). ... us, with the opportunity we had on the reef. Time to head back but the weather had taken a turn for the worse! The boat was terrible, heaving backwards and forwards and we couldn't see the horizon, with the rain smashing the boat on every side there were a few ill people on the back. We were so happy to see land! On the Tuesday night before we left on the Wednesday we decided to do Aqua-Zumba. The esplanade offered different free activities every evening ...

... us feel so welcome that we didn't want to leave!

On our final day in the Gold Coast before our evening flight back we had a trip to Seaworld. Strangely James had been particularly looking forward to going so we decided to make a quick trip of it! It turned out to be a pretty awesome day, there were some really good rides as well as seeing Polar Bears, Penguins and Sharks (my favourite!!). James even managed to talk himself into going on ...
