... needed an original document that proves that I’m an Australian Citizen, such as a birth certificate, citizenship certificate, drivers licence, or passport just prior of expiry. Finally I had to have the interview and pay the application fee of $244. This task could be managed fairly easily for a school by asking student to bring in all required information in a plastic sleeve and sending through applications in one big sweep. From our room we can see a gold xxxx sign as well as an Aldi. All restaurants appear shut but we find a 7//11 open but there is no alcohol. We get a fruit juice to go with our vodka as well as sandwiches and crisps. We eat on our balcony although it is quiet fresh.
We are in bed for 10.45. ...

... have been around 180kms of easy highway to Noosa. As we headed out of Coolangatta the sky was darkening fast, and prematurely even given the time difference (sorry), it was at the same time almost always illuminated by a lightning show far busier than anything either of us had ever seen before. As we passed a lovely looking rest stop by the river at Burghleigh Heads we decided to flick on the radio and search for an assessment of the weather further ...
