... The spectacular scenery views of mountains were soothing to eyes. Then we headed for the drive from Ventry to Slea Head . We also enjoyed golfing, horse riding, fishing and other activities during our trip.
I shall be planning a trip again to this place with family in a year or so .

... and anyone handicapped by vertigo will be challenged. Some people can be seen descending on their butts.
Bring a lunch, wander through the beehive huts, watch the puffins taking off and landing at their nests on the cliff face and marvel at how difficult life would have been here 1500 years ago. Give thanks you weren’t the poor cow whose home was the 200 square feet of flat grass halfway up.
... ve decided to go for a trip to South America for a while and immiedietly we've started our preparation.
We've started from learning Spanish and gaining information about places we're interested in.
We've decided to travel from Patagonia along Andes through Chile, Ecuador and Peru. We will visit Bolivia, Mexico and Vancouver (if we have enough money). We'd like to spend ...
... We ate at a little deli and then walked around some of the shops in town. This place was a little bit more lively as it seemed to be a stop for a lot of the tourist busses. I am definitely glad we drove ourselves because it gave us the freedom to explore what we wanted and make a lot of stops!
The last real stop was a little shop called Avoca right off the side of the road. We had seen it driving up to Killarney the previous ...
... most south-west point in Ireland. This lighthouse is the last lighthouse ships see before they cross the Atlantic and the first one on their way back. The lighthouse is out on the cliffs and the water is crashing all around. There is a little bridge we had to cross to actually get out to the lighthouse itself. Once out there, the views were magnificent! There also happened to be a young Irish lad who was checking the tickets at the ...
Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland christine.roney... When the shops closed around 10 we headed back and got the kids into pajamas and into bed. Oh, what beds they were! They were lumpy in the middle and mushy on the edges - I made the mistake of sitting on the edge and slid right off! Dave and I spent a very close night "down in the valley" at the center of our bed.
I pulled the covers up close to my nose to block out the musty room smell only to discover that the blankets themselves were also ...
... was going and gave me directions. Killarney feels like Banff. There are mountains and hikes nearby and it is full of tourists and shops. But they all dress like me!! I thought people were friendly in dublin but here they're 100 times more! Anyway, in case you wanted to know my plans. I think that tomorrow I'll check into a campground and prepare for my Dingle way. I need to test my tent, get ...
Killarney, Ireland deed... hire a bike for a couple of hours and see what places they recommended as being fairly flat and able to get to in 2-3 hours. Except the next bus into town wasn't until 11.35 as it was a Sunday and when I got to town, none of the bike hire companies would hire for 1/2 a day. Only a full day for €12 which was too much for me to pay when I knew I would only use it for 3 hours. Then I found out that the nearest sight of any ...
Killarney, Ireland tokyo_cate... we were in the town of Kilrush, and given the day was drawing to a close, we decided not to drive any further but rather try for a B&B here. Pulling outside a stately two storey house I think we all thought it looked too posh for us. Inside was no different, with the living rooms and bedrooms packed with period furniture that made it look more like a museum-piece than a functioning family home. With our last two B&Bs ...
