    ... we drove due south to the small village of Carrapateira, a magnet for the surfing fraternity due to the nearby Praia de Bordeira, but first it was lunchtime. The well-rated Micro Bar was our choice which has a very 'cool', laid back atmosphere in keeping with the area's seaside pastimes, our waiter sported dreadlocks, cowrie-shell ankle bracelet and a Bob Marley tee-shirt to give the flavour of the place.     ... As we entered the very narrow entrance the gennaker started to unfurl again and so we decided to drop it. As we did a gust came and the sail went back into the sea. Dawson managed to manoevre the boat without hitting anything as we hurled the anaconda, as we have christened her, back onto the deck.

    On on one hand I am sorry it's finished but then I am really looking forward to coming home, if only for a short while.

    First stop in Portugal - the beach side town of Lagos! After a big night in Marbella to finish we were a little rough driving to Lagos but the hangover was instantly gone once we arrived in beautiful town of Lagos.
