Day 16: Countryside
Today I went to a rural area of Italy. It was very calm and quiet here. The people were really nice and gave us some of their food so that we could eat there with them. Their houses were built of pure bricks making them very stable and warm for those cold fronts that come in the winter.

Tavira days
... in the area but it was extremely hot and apathy set in. We did not even manage to go to the almost effortless ferry across to Ilha de Tavira. We are sure that we will return when the heat is less intense as we both liked in and easyjet are now flying to Faro (up the coast) from our home town of Southend.
Regretfully we took the bus back to Spain going straight through to Seville in 3 1/2 hours.

Seaside chill holiday
... so bother with it and so we went very late in the day instead. In the evening we went out for dinner and had good enough but not great food each evening but after a week we were starting to struggle to find new places to eat. There is a very friendly and safe vibe about the area and we were happy to let the girls go off by themselves although I think they found it a bit limited.

Our plans of one week in Spain which didn't happen and one week in France which will now be two weeks, all plans have changed! At writing all of this, we are now in France up near Saumur but will have to catch up with that all tomorrow.
