    ... in the style of the time. The apartment at Casa Batilla was empty but you could you use the tablet provided as the audio guide to see what the rooms would look like furnished. We were also able to walk up the stairs in the lightwell to the rooftop. The tiles in the lightwell were graduated in colour with the darker blue at the top to ensure that the light at the bottom was the same intensity as at the top.

    Barcelona! What a place. One of my favourite European cities I have visited so far (it does come a close second to Prague, just). We had a whole free day in Barcelona where we walked the arty streets, with open minds and eyes towards everything we saw while also holding on to our bags very tightly, away from approaching pick pocketers.     ... The bus to the airport was late and gave us a small freak out. Hate how unreliable buses can be. Anyway, we made it with plenty of time since the airport was tiny, with only 6 gates. I'm not sure they ever use more than 1 or two at a time. They didn't even open up security until 35 minutes before the flight was to take off... interesting.     Today was
    our last full day in Barcelona. Sally says that we should have stayed a few
    more days; there are so many things to see and do here. More on that later.

    ... idea for our trip…..we all work at Seaworld on the Gold Coast. I’m a dolphin trainer, Zarah is a penguin trainer and Andy is a seal trainer….this was going to be great, tonight we were going to run with the story and hoped it worked.
