... Mother always took a cooked chicken with us on holiday, but as some of you well know, if we're travelling on a train, we'll have a chicken to munch on. When the time arrives, we'll do all we can to avoid the toshiba! ... of Penzance, through the village of Sennen and on to the private road of the Lands End visitor centre. It is of course closed, but we do manage to grab a picture of us in front of the sign illuminated by the car headlights. We immediately do a U-turn and head back the way we have come for a further two hours (only stopping to refuel in Penzance) until we reach the tiny hamlet of Chagford in the middle of Dartmoor. ... class that night. It was a fast weekend, but so nice, and I got a lot of information on my ancestors! I have a couple of contacts and so I am hoping that I will be able to get more information as the semester goes on! we are making progress though on getting that family tree all connected! I hope that I will be able to come back in the future because I feel like I am just touching the tip of a giant iceberg!
