... the palate before mains. We could then tell that this place was special. To accompany our mains we decided to get some wine so i chose a local Pinot Noir compliment my lamb and Rox had a local white with her fish. For mains it was another trilliogy of flavours. Rox's long plate came out complete with 3 versions of seafood including one that was fish stuffed with scallops. Absolutely amazing! ... How big is this St Lawrence River – there are lots of times we can’t see land and its choppy like an ocean – although the boat doesn’t move – must have really good stabilisers. Lots of things happening on board so plenty to do if you want to. John laying low to get over his cold.

... her she'd have broken something for sure, probably her neck, there was no safety net that I could see. They had an act on that terrifying giant wheel that spins around while the acrobat runs on the inside of it, and then the OUTSIDE. So many times I thought he was going to fall, but I'm pretty sure that arm flailing and stumbling was part of the act. It was hard to get any decent photos as you weren't allowed to use flash (for obvious reasons) and I was a few rows back, ...

... sitting in the waiting room, as we were all too tired to head back into the city. An hour later, a looooooong walk up all those stairs and that very steep hill and we arrived back at our very, very hot apartment. We spent the next hour trying to get the place cooled off by placing the fans outside of the windows and blowing the cool air in. Finally about 1 am, it cooled off enough to sleep. Needless to say, we will be sleeping in tomorrow.

... This time around, I was properly dressed and the sun was out warming the day. I didn’t realize that the Montmorency Falls are higher than Niagara Falls (30 meters/98 Feet). They are the highest falls in Quebec at 84 meters (275 feet) high and 45.7 meters wide (150 feet). Watching the water pour over the land and rock, I was a bit terrified not to venture too close to the waters - powerful, imposing and yet ...
