... I too donned my jacket and was ready to go caving. We lined up to start our tour and the guides handed out lanterns that would be used inside. Unlike all the caves we have been to back home, there are no lights inside these caves. The only lights would come from our lanterns that had a naked flame and the tour guide who continuously lit magnesium strips to burn a bright white light that was lucky to last 60 seconds at a time. We took about an hour electric-boat ride across Königssee so that we could see the smaller lake off of it, Obersee. Obersee is the smaller part of Königssee that is so beautiful, with a small picturesque hut on it. My friend, Lea, had sent me ...

We were so happy to see such gorgeous mountains and get out of the city even for just a day. We spent our entire time in awe of Mother ...
