... as the Venice of the South of France, not sure they got that one right, it is stinking hot and there are no gelato shops open anywhere!!!!!! Then onto the Cascades of Sautadet, a lovely swimming area, but very hot for that today, I would burn to a crisp, we have a quick visit then one last tourist stop at the village of La-Roque-sur-ceze. Yesterday I volunteered to be the garden assistant, so first job this morning is to water all the garden pots, there are a quite a few so it takes a while, then I was supposed to be having a lovely French breakfast in the garden, but it turns out it is a French public holiday today, so no boulangre open today.... that will have to wait for tomorrow....

Had a quiet day, boys make a trip back to the supermarche and I got in a bit of knitting, Goz had a nap and then we headed off ...

After arriving late yesterday afternoon, we are getting settled in for 8 nights in total, what a place, our villa is on the outskirts of a tiny village, Tresques, we are located is a vineyard where the current fifth generation owner gave up his career as a prominent Opera singer to come home and take over the family vineyard..... It still is intact for much of its path. We were able to see the bridge that was triple tiered and went across the river. It was really an engineering masterpiece. ... and mum shared a twin kayak and the boys shared a triple kayak. Before we got in our kayaks, we saw other people who were kayaking get caught in the current and almost bang in to a tree so we got scared that we might do the same. But luckily we missed it so we kept on heading down the river (le Gardon) till we got to an amazing big bridge that was built in 10BC - called Le Pont du Gard.
