Lovely Layover

Lake Geneva has the clearest water I have ever seen in a lake. The lake itself is surrounded by the 2nd most populated city in Switzerland, so it is interesting that they have the ability to keep the water so clean and clear. Lake Geneva is also surrounded by very large snow covered mountains.

... it is across from the United Nations building which had protestors with their ugly posters attached to the chair - not so lovely for pictures oh well. We kept walking to the botanical gardens with a very large beautiful park and many green houses the trees were beautiful in yellows and reds. Gen did some souvenir shopping and I had Swiss chocolate it was lovely but equally as expensive here as back home. We returned to our hosts flat and had traditional ...

... have free wifi but it didn't work so I left gen to read her Kobo and walked around to find free wifi next to impossible but I managed 30mins if I didn't move just enough time to contact our next host Ioan. Geneva Weekend trip
... old town, a sunset, then had a nice cooked meal of squid and fish, and an early night to recover from the fatigue of the whole week – especially for Cloris who had an exhausting offsite, but even for myself, I had only 4 hours sleep the previous night [bloody cubes giving me the Tetris effect!]
