... thaw out a little - perfect idea, until after waiting for the drink to be made, as were about to sit and drink it - they Starbucks guy tells us he is closing and only take away is available - so out into the cold we go again. Finally, the day comes to an end and we got back to the hotel - like superman taking energy from the sun, I basically sat on top of the heater in the room until everything changed from blue back to its normal colour, and then I fell asleep. ... the second one got us there.
Hotel room is good but staff as shockers. No restaurant and it started to pour rain as we were about to find somewhere to eat so we bought microwave meals at the hotel instead. Twenty euros, seriously! Now that's a captive market.
I had words with staff as they served whoever pushed in instead of people in turn and also shared my thoughts with those that chose to push in. Very funny really!
Hate to admit it but ...

... I found that I had to exit the undergound and find the above ground station, which I managed to do, but not until about 10 mins after my train had departed. Having pre booked my ticket on the train, it was non refundable or changeable, so I had to purchase another ticket and wait an hour for the next train. We stopped at the bar across the street on our way to the hotel. Diane wanted to enjoy a glass of Armagnac (Oldest brandy made in France) before she left, I enjoyed one with her. Some holidays have days that just don't kind of work (although like a trip to patpong market it came with a happy ending for us) and this was one of them.
