... Roland Garros is very easy to find. We took the metro from near the Eiffel Tower, had to change trains once and then a short walk to the stadium. Matthew went into the museum while Renee and I waited outside (we are not that excited about tennis!) and enjoyed the quiet. ... of the Eiffel Tower. It is on the 9th floor of a department store and boy it has great views of the city for free! We stood there for awhile just taking in the beautiful sights of Paris. The next stop of my local tour was St Martins Canal. It is a beautiful canal in the middle of Paris! It is something i didn't expect here. Many young people were sitting on the canal wall and enjoying the sun while eating their lunch. I also had my first "American donut" and it might be my favorite ...

... off. The airport was uneventful other than not having a McDonald's and that's what I really wanted for breakfast. The Qantas flight (7 hours) was good, decently comfortable and not totally rubbish food (basically a miracle on a flight) with good staff. We then had a 5 hour stop over in Singapore, thank god for free wifi!!!! I saw their cactus garden, apparently it's award winning, but I thought it was ruined by the central feature being a smoking ...

... the morning walking down through and enjoying the Jardin Des Tuileries on the banks of the River Seine. From here we walked back through some exclusive Paris streets to do a little retail therapy and enjoy a leisurely lunch, a perfect way to finish our stay here.
