... the fish market, and the produce market we decided on preparing a scallops appetizer, veal, and a lemon tart. We all participated in the preparations and Patrick was good at making sure we were finished with the sharp knife tasks before allowing us to drink any wine. Very good decision on his part! After we were done cooking it was time to eat, drink and enjoy! And enjoy we did! I think we all had a great time and I would say it was one of the highlights of our ...

Mitch: Woke up around 7.30 – Plan was to go for a run, but really couldn't face it, so had a coffee instead. Had our croissant and baguette purchased from Carrefour – has to be said, as great as the store is, their breads don’t even come close to the Boulangeries versions. Definitely have to track down the real deal for tomorrow's breakfast. Settled on a plan for today, and headed off to the National opera house to do a ...

... to do next. Te food was not served to us, but instead on a tray toward the end of the café. Do we go and get it or not? Do we stand or sit in these tall coffee tables? Once we get our food, do we get rid of the rubbish, or leave it? Were we meant to tip? It was all very daunting. For the most part, we figured it out, and then took the 50minute walk over to our hotel, passing over the Seine and an island before getting to our destination. After all of this, we were well into ...
