- Very nicely laid out and well-groomed city - nice parks with flowers and fountains. Very pretty

- Very friendly people talking to me on the tram, in the shops etc in Croatian and continuing to talk in a friendly way (in Croatian) even when I said I don't speak it

Farewell Brac, hello Hvar
... and listen distractedly to the chatter around us. Hvar is supposed to be a classier island, Hollywood stars allegedly hang out here. This ferry ride suggests a different group of people are traveling to Hvar than Brac. I wonder if I misread Brac; I think it is the poor cousin of these islands, literally, less people, less resources and a harder existence. Buckwild in Stalingrad
... a it stingy so we ended up getting supermarket beers and drinking on the dock for a few hours before we put on our best digs to head into Hvar, apparently the party capital of the Croatian islands. Some Ups and Downs
