... re melting and dehydrated at every hairpin turn (of which there were roughly 365 today) but that is some Slavic sea right there. Clear blue water indeed. But hard driving. I think we'll get the motorway back. Today's goal was to find a campsite just off the coast road, up a mountain just outside a town called Tribanj Kruscica. We found it. After driving about 1000ft up a dirt track, round stupidly dangerous bends with ...

Leaving our friends behind we rolled along the waterfront and on to the bus in less than 20 minutes. Our destination is the ancient city of Trogir. I had the best chicken of my life and we all stumbled back to the yacht for a rocky sleep on the seas, luckily Vanessa had some sleeping pills which cured my sea sickness. ...

All feeling pretty shattered after our night out, we took it easy with a late departure from Hvar and relaxing swim stop in a little bay on the way. We were heading to Stari Grad, which literally translates to 'Old Town' - still part of Hvar island. In Stari Grad we were picked up by minibus and taken to a pretty little farm where they produce wine, olive oil, goats cheese and all sorts ...

    Split ter!

... br> We came back to Split right at the time of a long extended week-end of festivities, around the day of St Domnius (also known under the names of Dujam, Duje, Domnio, Doimus and Domninus says Wikipedia), which is also the day of the city of Split. It's not insignificant, the cathedral is named after him and it seems that he was martyred there. Quite a happy story then.

The day of Split is actually a real festival over a few days, with various social and ...
