... before taking a Taxi. Bye-bye money ! But it was only around 200-250CZK so that was affordable. Back in the hotel we had our well deserved nap! 1,5 hours late, refreshed and ready to go out. ... it was on top of a store and the lights in the hallways stayed on for about 30 seconds and we had to go to the third floor so we were walking up in the pitch place because it was about 10 at night at this point. We checked in and the lady brought us to our room which was just for the four of us, it had two rooms with kin size beds, a kitchen, a foyer and a bathroom all for about 16 euros which is very cheap for that size room and breakfast all included. I always love having rooms ...

... were given one fist-sized loaf of bread for breakfast, a cup of water with salt in it for lunch, and a small potato for dinner. The Red Cross deemed that the Jews had to be able to receive packages, so the Nazis built a small post office where they collected everything sent to the Jews. If any food was received, they dumped all of it, including candy, gum and cigarettes, into a kind of stew to serve to the Jews.
