Island in the middle of a Lake: Bled
... home cooking to me! Meat, potatoes and veggies! I loved it. It was really similar to German food and really rich and hearty. After eating we were all falling asleep and really eager to get back to the hotel and get some rest. Every time we would ride on the bus we could all sleep as the tour guide would discuss the history of Slovenia hahah He said it was the first tour that he has ever given that this would happen haha Oops :) ...
Summer Toboggan
Sadly our last day in Slovenia so we decided on a bit of 'adrenalin' for our last morning. After packing up we headed to the slopes and because it was a Saturday, the ski lifts were open! So a peaceful journey to the top watching some BMX dudes tearing up the bike track before making our way to the summer toboggan run.
Not quite sure if its just for kids but we thought ...
Bovec rafting
... lunch and then went for a wander. Sat and had a nice picnic in the sunshine before getting kitted up for our water adventure. As there was only me and AP booked in we had the whole river to ourselves with just us and our instructor Nate in the boat.

Mountain Hike
... by foot. This time following a track attempting to climb round one of the moutains, we started at the lake again but then set off in a different direction. Which pretty much just went up.
An adventurous path zig-zagging up a steep slope covered in slippy leaves and hidden trippy tree roots. Definitely very dodgy in places and an extremely steep drop most of the time, but that just makes it more of ...
Kranjska Gora Hike
... bear print :D So then we were on lookout all the way back trying to spot one but alas to no avail. Did find another bear track though (although this one was perhaps maybe slightly more questionable, but you surely don't have dogs that big?!)
After a long days hiking we did stumble out into civilisation again, very satisfied with our days exploring in the beautiful wilderness! Drove back to Bled, had some grub and caught some zzzz's.
