... actually loving every minute. The storm itself maybe lasted about 15-20 minutes but we were down below for a good 40 minutes just while we got through all the nitty griitties. Afterwards Travis said there was zero viability with 54 knot wind...(which is 100km/hr) so pushed right over on our edge just from the mast catching the wind. ... bales, for the ponies and sheep, and a few cows. At the hotel, we updated our journals, with tea (Betsy) and a large Viking brand beer (me). Anyone reading my blog or have I lost you in the verbosity of my writing? - I am interested in some feedback. Dinner was had at the hotel since there was no where else to go. ... a climb up, and some of the steps are about 1.5 feet up and 6 inches wide, but the views are great. I woke up worrying if it was going to be a rainy day, but it turned lovely in the morning, which was great. ... for I would describe this as a walled village. I guess the closest parallel I could draw is Jaisalmer fort in Rajastan, described as a "living fort", walled in the same way but full of streets, houses and people, but nevertheless all within a walled fort.

Firstly I need to thank Jamie Doman for his recommendation to come to Hvar, great recommendation.

Tuesday 16th

Today we take an over sized 4wd Ford Ranger and drive from to Hvar to Vrboska about 15 mins away on the island. Quaint port side town with no tourists so relaxing. After about an hour in town we make our way to Jelsa about 10 mins further on bigger than Vrboska and all the same qualities.
