... No blogging. Checked in and surveyed the scene then caught a bus into the Old City, where we disembarked in the rain (forget the blue sky) along with half the earth (think Acropolis or St Peters in Rome. Fought our way in the gate, paid our Monet and climbed steep stairs to 'do'the wall. This is the Dubrovnik you see in the tourist posters - an incredible walled city dating from the 7th century. Wow! The crowds thinned a little as we walked. It's about 2 km right around with ...

... was 10-15) and we made it to the water taxi to Trogir, the main old town in the area. Another 15 mins and we made it to Trogir, an amazing little island between the mainland and the larger island we were staying on. We were taken boat by boat on the rib (dinghy) to shore from our yachts, and had a tasty dinner at the restaurant with great views out over the ...

... from the belly of the bus and making our way out of the hoards of other passengers, we quickly went to the ferry station and with luck, the ONE ferry daily to Vis was living in 2 hours!! We purchased our tickets, very reasonably priced at 45 KN (Kuna) about $8.17, and walked into Split for a snack which of course included a cappuccino for me and a Pivo for Mike. We also had our first Gelato of the trip. Yummy.

Then to the ferry. Beautiful trip ...

... to see photographs from above to see how cool it really is. I sort of wish we went parasailing here so I could put a photo up but you couldn’t even do that there. Anyways we relaxed on the beach for most of the day then I went wine tasting to kick the drinking side of things off later in the day. I still don’t get wine. I can taste a really **** cheap one (goon) but anything out of a bottle I cant tell ...
