... authentic, so we were always well fed (except when we wondered off by ourselves and went to Palmitas!).

Oh, yes. We visited Benidorm. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benidorm Not much I can say about Benidorm, all I saw was trashy "American" bars with racing car themed chairs, wrestling paraphanalia and ****** white middle aged music. Apparently it's party central in the summer.
Who knows.

We set off to walk the short distance into town and head right along the sea front to the elevator which takes you up to Santa Barbara Castle set high on a cliff above the town.
