... and last full day in Prague all six of us went out to explore more of Prague and its architecture. We headed towards Charles bridge which we crossed to catch a tram to head up towards the Prague castle. The tram dropped us behind the castle which we walked through some pretty gardens to reach. He does a thorough job of giving us the facts but we miss the jolly banter our previous guides provided and we are a little rushed. We see the main buildings such as the Powder Tower, Charles university, the Jewish quarter, old town, astronomical clock and a few statues. I don't take in all of the history although it is interesting. Some of the interesting points:

... some don't open till late or at all. So it does make it slightly harder to find the bar your after. The weather is getting extremely cold now and is expected to snow over the next couple of days. See? My 2 week Introductory Czech class is starting to pay off already. ;)
I just wanted to stop in and update everyone about what's going on. The rest of my group (or most of them) left for Moravia today, but since it was a pre-organized trip I didn't initially have the money for this summer I stayed behind so I could catch up on some things. I still need to go shopping for my school supplies and groceries (oi-vay) and wouldn't mind just wandering ...

... busses to turn up... They didn't take long and soon enough were we're at her car... She lived pretty close to our site so she was more than happy to take us, we found out that she was a tour guide which explained why her English was so good... I dot know what time we eventually got back to the site but we were just glad to be there... On the way into the site we started witnessing some of the devastation the storm had caused...
