... and as everyone was recovering, it braked again! It was like a one-two punch. I was sitting down, but some of the others would have fallen if they weren't holding on to the support. It was strange.

We got off at the stop to our hotel shortly after that, and just about everyone decided to chill before we had a big group dinner.

Well I've been here for 7 weeks and since then I've been noting the things that I've seen and have made me chuckle. I think I've been quite surprised in a way. ... freezing, but we were glad of our layers. We saw others dressed more like us but a few still in shorts and flip flops, (after overhearing a very odd conversation earlier in our holiday, we now know that in OZ flip flops are called ... Thongs!!)

We found a 7/11 store where we'd been told to buy a card to use on the trams, and duly bought 2. We waited only a few minutes for tram number 16 which took us all the way to Flinders Street Station and Federation Square.
