... a flower and fruit market, and a Franciscan monastery that houses a sea shell collection featuring a giant clam shell.

So yes, there is a monastery, little square, few old, interesting buildings, two seafront promenades that extent towards the wide beaches and many hotels, resorts, shops and restaurants. The sun is hot, the breeze cool, the water clean, the beaches busy, the mountains view everywhere, cafes and restaurant open all ...

Wow, time is flying by! It feels like we just got here and we have already wrapped up our visit to Dubrovnik and have settled in in Korčula for the evening. It took a couple days to get over the jet lag, but I think we're finally on a normal sleeping schedule. We're only a few days in but we can say for sure we'll be coming back to Croatia at some point. ... was a great idea. And it really was. As we got down to the harbour the sun was breaking through, and by the time we had gone to get some hangover food (spinach and feta filo wrap thing that is to die for) and drinks for our expedition the clouds had gone. We slowly made out way over to one of the islands just off Hvar (we went for the cheapest little dingy that only had 5hp...) We found a little bay with a small beach on it and set up camp. It was glorious. Sunbathing and ...

We had one last day in Hvar before he catamaran to Korcula. There was lots we could have done but with no place to change after check out at 11 am and getting a little too friendly with the sun on the boat we decided swimming was out. Rather than going to Stari Grad, an old town centre near by, or even climbing to the fortress we sought out shade and spent a relaxing day exploring a little, chatting, reading and writing (three ...
