    ... Scott again behind the wheel. Within a kilometer, we rounded a curve and found a speeding motorbike pointed directly at us, well over onto our side of the line. Island roads are already narrow without the encroachment of oncoming motorists using more than their share.     Tally writing... Today we arrived in the brilliant town of makarska!! We kept hearing about this place from locals and the books. Also this is the home town of one of the guys we met back in Zagreb and we promised to come see him here too! Glad we did what a cool place!! This town has everything! The small marbled town area with locals shops and quieter food places etc to the booming seafront ...

    ... from eating, drinking and partying in Hvar we did manage to get out and about. We spent a day at a beach called Palmizana which was beautiful (still no sand though) and also climbed to the top of the castle overlooking Hvar.
    It is a really beautiful fun (but relaxing) island. Really don't want to leave the Croatian Islands, such a beautiful part of the world.

    Makarska

    I had another surprise wake up with water on my face, though not as much water this morning, we were Makarska bound. The group had a quick orientation walk around the town and then some of us were booked into doing white water rafting. We had to catch the bus about an hour from Makarska to the river inland.

    There was another Travel Talk group doing the rafting at the same time. Evan and I almost had to go with the other group but in the end ...
