... out into huge chambers for a 2 kilometre trundle deep into the heart of the cave system.

Then it's a stroll up and down the concrete walkways through 'caverns measureless to man', to borrow from Tennyson.

The rock formations are quite stunning. It has taken three million years to create this and it's worth every minute.

We all slowly fell in love with Slovenia, camping in the pine trees, swimming in the lake and chilling amongst the mountains. For most of the two hour/7.5km trek downhill, we had to walk sideways to keep from slipping and falling. Along the way, we tried to find grassy paths that were a bit easier to walk down, but those presented the problem of many bugs. When we finally made it to the bottom ...

... the cold, refreshing water. None of us lasted too long in the water, but we definitely felt relaxed and refreshed when we came out. The last activity on our list for today was to try some traditional Slovenian food. We went to a restaurant Tom recommended and although the traditional meal Ren got was very tasty, this restaurant didn't offer the best selection of traditional Slovene food. By the end of the day, we truly understood why Bled is described to be ...
