... cars the whole time we were driving until we got back near the city.

The beach towns are totally deserted. All the hotels and cafés are shut up and no-one is around.
There are so many big apartments that have been started and just left unfinished due to the economic crisis. The beaches are lovely, but it wasn't a swimming afternoon. We had a game of Bolle with these completely round balls we found on the beach made out of some natural ...

Also because it was Easter Sunday, there were no ferry services. Marta, our group leader had a plan - we would catch the bus to the airport and fly to Syros.
Marta Gielata is our tour leader and she is from Poland. There is only one other member of our group - Lauren Johnson from New ...

Breakfast time: Fishermen throwing bread to the fish that the cats try to steal and the gulls try to catch while the Greeks and I have our coffee and bread. Walked to the church on top of the hill and back through the burbs. Stepped in what I believe was human poo along the way. The sound of recess at the schools. Went for a swim in an unprotected rock pool, had to hold on ...
