... the trains were electrically powered not gasoline powered, the huge electrical storm posed a significant danger to the train and we were re-routed to another station in Prague. The directions were very ambiguous and convoluted something like "Get on one of the trains, it will take you." ... Take us where? And what train number or platform were open for your interpretation. We had thought about joining the Irish guys but we got split up when they took what we figure ...

... then have a nice Chinese dinner at a restaurant around the corner from the hotel. Gonna get a shower now.....tomorrow we'll wander town a bit then head to the airport. Tomorrow night we sleep in a much smaller place in London. Now a word from Laurie.

A deadly meal

... I didn’t get to see much of at Buckingham Palace.
After walking around the outside of the castle we stopped for food at a cafe near Charles Bridge. It was here that I got the deadly meal of goulash which was quite spicy and came out with a few onions on top. After eating the whole lot it was not a good sign for my room mates tonight after a combination of spicy goulash and onions. Will definitely be looking ...

Last Day in Prague

We did a 2+ hour walking tour listed on Trip Advisor which allowed us to make the most of our time and see the areas we had still wanted to see.

Following that we had lunch before gathering some last minute souvenirs and doing some more wandering.

We watched the sun go down over Charles Bridge ...

... which held layer upon layer of graves due to the fact that the location of Jewish burials was restricted for so many centuries.

Another famous citizen of Prague, Franz Kafka, is memorialized in an appropriately strange statue by the Spanish Synagogue. The statue stands on a mosaic of a giant cockroach, and shows Kafka seated on his own shoulders.

Our last evening in Prague was an idyllic ...
