He had to get the sail boat back to the bay alone, and had an accident getting the ropes twisted trying to manage sails and steering himself. ... fairly rough conditions. We found our accommodation and met Lena, the owner, who had maps etc for us, saving us a trip to the tourist centre. Our little studio was lovely and in a great spot, just outside the palace walls. Once inside the palace, we joined a walking tour group which gave us a great overall history of the palace. It would have been a beautiful cycle ride too along the coastal road, but common sense prevailed. As we got on the bus, we asked for a return ticket and the driver asked for 26 kuna so we paid and pocketed the ticket in a safe place for he return trip.
