... went into a hotel and asked. The girl was most helpful and even called us a taxi as the centre was miles away and we could not have walked it. The taxi was air conditioned and the shopping centre was too. I did not want to leave it but alas had to. The boat ride was lovely, both the views and the breeze. Joined up with Jan, Ron and Varis almost immediately, went to buy a nano SIM card for the iPad and to the market for a sandwich and bitter lemon drink. ... the person who checked us out, Vala. She has a farm across several valleys and recommended a hot springs, a route for the next day, and places to hike. We left the hotel and headed for Geysir, a site reminiscent of Yellowstone with bubbling and gurgling pools of boiling water and an single geyser that blew about every 5 minutes. We witnessed several eruptions and hopefully got some interesting photos. I even videotaped one blast standing within 30 feet of the hole. The geyser goes up ...

... little apartment near the old town. We chilled out for a while, before all the crew arrived. We arranged to meet at the main reception where we all caught up and told stories of what we had been up to over the last month. We all went out for a nice dinner before finishing at a beach side bar with more drinks.

Our only full day in Split and nothing more was planned than to ...
