... and said he was just scraped up and bruised, with potentially a fractured rib or two. He decided that he needed to go to hospital so missed out on the rest of the sailing to lie in a bed but we were a lot more comfortable for it! The next couple of days we were treated to more stunning scenery and a dinner at a local Greek restaurant with traditional dancing and everything. It was so beautiful to watch and we all got involved butchering it terribly. We were all very over the ...

... got tickets and ran up (we had 15minutes before it was closed/stopped letting people on it). We were up there for the sunset over the town. It was a really nice way to start the trip. ... unique architecture and design of the fortress and wall surrounding old town. It's like you step into another world when you walk through the gates. Cobble stone streets with the cobble stones shiny and polished from the thousands of people who walk the streets everyday. I found an amazing art studio with the most beautiful paintings and a very funny old man explaining the history of each painting. If only I wasn't backpacking and on a backpackers budget. We ate once again a seafood ...

... at the waves crashing against the walls. We were amazed at the way they had been built so long ago and how well they had stood the test of time and war. The weather cleared and the coats came off and we carried on. However looking out to sea were big black clouds much like we often see coming in at Whitianga. We were about three quarters of the way around so put on our jackets and picked up our pace. Told Geoff he couldn’t take so many ...
