... pm now and we have had a seamless transfer from Milan to Prague - bus to Malpensa Airport in Milan, plane to Prague, collected our luggage which was one of the first pieces to come out, bus from Prague Airport to the city, then metro to the neighbourhood and short walk to the apartment where we are totalling where Martin our host was waiting for us outside. ... over the camp we would find flowers placed where people were known to have died.
We passed the memorials, we walked through the museum and learned all about the beginning of WWII and The Holocaust. It was very interesting to see different documents that were related to the concentration camp, and learn about those who were held here, and those who worked there.

Several readings later, Matt and I had to leave to catch the bus back ...

Not far away though is something much older, the stone avenue and stone circles of Avesbury. The avenue extends for a couple of kilometres, and the stone circles must have had quite a large circumference though only parts of them remain. Alongside them runs a dyke. It is quite deep and represents a great deal of work for whoever dug it using very primitive stone or iron tools. This is said to be about 5000 years old.
