... restaurant for Wed night and where the concert hall is. Got the metro back to our area, had dinner and went home. Vienna seems to be similar in some ways to other European cities with the historical stuff, but also has a good mix of fancy new buildings like Berlin, with interesting architecture. There is a big fancy black building close to us that is a bank, offices and hotel that has panels at all different angles, some of these new buildings look great, others not so ...

... and off for a walk in the opposite direction of the grand canal, found or rather came across the the jewish section , so had a walk thru the ghetto or jetta as the venicians called it in the earliest dates. We then found a lovely trattoria where the locals appeared to be eating, just sitting beside a canal it looked lively, reasonably priced so had dinner, 3 courses very tasty of course pasta seafood , followed by grilled seafood and the a salad ...

... I probably would have gone. Anyway, that was just night one. But it was one hell of a night, and it came with one hell of a hangover.
