... piazza's and tucked away courtyards for quieter dinners etc, we were very glad we did. Climbing the bell tower of the cathedral was also a treat with its 360 degree views. Other friends, Debbie and Pete arrived on the saturday morning. Trogir has 2 larger marina's where you can charter boats from (we used the very well run Dalmatian Charters in the ACI Marina, one of many well equipped ACI Marinas spread throughout Croatia).

... at the bus station, walked across the street to the train station, and used the machines to buy a ticket to Venice. We caught the 9:38 am train with a minute to spare. We arrived in Mestre, transferred to the train going to Venice and arrived at around noon. We each bought a 72-hour water vaporetto pass and after standing a bit and walking a bit, caught a vaporetto to the closest stop to our hotel (Zattere). After a brief walk to the jetty to look for a boat to Trogir, we found one earlier and easier than we anticipated- there are no timetables available or regular system that we could find. I had thought we'd had our last boat transportation but it seemed a more pleasant way to travel the 30kms to Trogir than the bus. With the wind in our hair it was a very enjoyable journey.
