... stopped in the Frai, which has two famous Titian paintings and a Bellini. We enjoyed the massive altars and some of the side rooms. Dinner was at a restaurant midway between our hotel and Seiglinda, Rudi and Thomas' hotel. We met for drinks in the campo in front of the restaurant, and then enjoyed a last meal together. ... the leisurely boat ride return to Split. For dinner I was in the hunt for recommended non tourist restaurant; a rare bird to find. Great navigating was required to find one on my list, but unfortunately it had succumbed to cashing in on tourists. Relatively high prices, a charge for every item (bread, oil, Parmesan etc) and the usual fare. ... feel, as there are thousands of little restaurants all light up amongst the small alleys, half the time you don't know what restaurant owns what seating as it's all just combined. As a self-proclaimed foodie, I have only recommended two places worthy of visit in Split: Paradox and Kanten. However, Split is a beautiful city, which can be appreciated over multiple day providing opportunity to see the old Roman centrum, visit the Croatian islands that surround it and climb the Marjan Hill to witness the crystal beauty of this radiant city.
