Loved the Vila Petra

The Vila Petra made our holiday in Albufeira. We didn't think much of the town itself but the Vila Petra made up for it! All the staff were so helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed the week here and got a very reasonable price on (-). Would definitely give the Vila Petra 5 stars!! No complaints!

Enjoyed portugal

Just returned one week ago from a two week stay in the vila petra and found the hotel to be very conveniently located just off the strip away from the busy street. The rooms were spotless and the hotel had very good facilities from a launderette to a little mini supermarket. The outdoor pool was excellent and clean and there were plenty of sun loungers. The fitness room was a bit disappointing though and beware of things that are said to be payable locally. For use of the sauna, turkish baths and solarium was expensive. Never got to eat at the hotel as we went self catering. Staff throughout the hotel were extremely helpful. The night time entertainment in the hotel however was somewhat lacking.

The area of Albufeira was busy and a bit annoying at times with people offering you scratch cards and then saying how you had one a prize of wither a camcorder, money or a holiday and that you had to go straight away to collect your prize - all this entailed was talking to someone regarding a holiday option called leisure holidays for one hour - don't be fooled - it is just another scam at a timeshare type of option. These people in the street can be very persuasive - be firm with them!

+ equipped with everything you may need

+ very friendly staff

+ cleaned daily with much care

+ well maintened sport facilities

+ large and well-kept pool area

+ very good restaurant at reasonable prices (6 EUR for breakfast, with everything you can think of)

- a little bid noisy (because of the granite floor you hear every step of your neighbours;-)))

+ a lot of security cameras all around the area

we enjoyed our stay from the first minute and you may be sure, that we will return to Vila Petra whenever possible!!

Excellent place

Excellent apartments, and would totally recommend them.

The service at the Main Desk was first class, the apartments were very spacious, and the gardens were so well kept.

The pool was clean and in June, although the pool was cool, it was fine once you were in it and swimming.

Our children of 6 and 3 enjoyed themselves thoroughly, and from a person who always moans about something on holidays, a recommendation like this should be taken seriously.

Would go back, although we like to try different countries, and would have no hesitation in saying to others to book and enjoy.

4*apartments in superb locationl

We stayed at the vila petra in may05 with our 2 young children and found the complex excellant. The apartments were very big modern and of the highest standards with granite floors throughout and separate kitchen with dishwasher. Rooms were cleaned everyday and the whole complex was maintained very well. Complex on a beautiful landscaped site with playground and tennis courts etc.1 minute walk to main strip yet very quiet at night. Will be going back!

Charged my credit card in advance of my visit!

Be warned! I booked a 2 night stay in this hotel for June 05 last week, using the venere website. However, the hotel charged my credit card in full, even thought it is stated on the website that the card is only used to hold the reservation and you can cancel up to 3 days before your arrival.

I was also not advised in advance by the hotel that they were going to put through the charge, which I found most irritating. I will be booking an alternative venue, as a result.

The best aparthotel I've stayed in

My partner and I have stayed at this hotel on two occasions. The first time was by fluke, as we had been booked at the Paraiso but our tour operator had terminated agreements with them that morning so we were given a room at Vila Petra. We loved it immediately - so much that this year when we returned to Albufeira, no Icelandic tour operator was offering it at our time of travel, so we booked our flight and hotel separately so we could stay there. As before, we couldn't fault it. The staff is incredibly friendly and service-oriented, the facilities absolutely spotless and modern, the kitchen the best equipped I have ever known - down to small details like Tupperware boxes for leftovers, to say nothing of the dishwasher, cooker with oven, microwave, toaster, etc. etc. The maids were tremendously thorough, even to the point of loading and unloading the dishwasher for us. The pool garden is exquisitely beautiful and well-kept. The location is good, very close to the strip. During our first trip, some guests complained that the hotel was too far from the beach and/or the old town; however, the hotel offers a free shuttle service to the beach four times a day and taxis to the old town cost only about 3-5 EUR. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Excellent apartments with a beautiful pool area and gardens, which is very good foor small kids.

Spotless and lives up to 4star rating.

1 bed Apartments have excellent facilities with separate kitchen and all the mod cons incl. dishwasher. Air conditioning modern and quiet.

Maids where invisible but did excellent cleaning job.

Would go back again.

You Can't Beat It!

We have visited the Vila Petra on two occasions - the first time soon after it opened. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful ( although the owner,who demands high standards of his staff at all levels, is a bit of a tyrant!) and the place is spotless.The situation is ideal. How could it be so near "The Strip" yet so peaceful? The best of both worlds!Try it - you won't be disappointed.

Vila Petra

Stayed at the Vila Petra Apartments this summer (Albufeira)and would highly recommend them. As good as some 4 or 5 star hotels but a lot cheaper. Best apartments I have stayed in and the location was just 100 yards from 'The Strip' with it's restaurants and bars and yet a very quite position. Facilities were excellent with indoor/ outdoor pools, jacuzzi,steam, sauna,gym and squash court etc. I think you'll find this hard to beat !!!!!!!!!!!!
