... and we are meeting Craig and others in 30 minutes. I've just had my shower. I was hoping to have a nap before heading out as it will be a late night, but there's no time for that now so instead I'm having a Jaegermeister and lemonade. I'm going to be very tired by the time I drag myself home from who knows where. ... We met Craig, his partner Paul and their friend John for dinner last night. Craig and Paul were lovely. They just got engaged that day. They went ...

... in the square enjoying the late afternoon sun. Tourist buses and taxis line the outer sides and the actual square is filled with people and pigeons. Many, many pigeons! It is just after 7.30pm and head straight to our hotel, a walk of about five minutes.
This hotel and for those for the rest of our journey, has been booked and paid prior to leaving New Zealand (of course the money/credit card drama would only happen at the stage when nothing was booked because ...

... she was happy to accommodate us! After Rafa won the first set handily, we decided to walk to Passeig de Gracia in search of a piece of pottery to take home for ourselves. After making our purchase, we walked around the corner to Taverna de Barcelona to watch the end of the match. Our waiter was so sweet and gave us the poster advertising the final that had been hanging at the entrance. We went back to the hotel and crashed for the night.
