      ... had a nice feel about it with tree lined shady streets and well connected to the Old Town. As we walked back to the hotel Pudd had to have another cake so we went back to the same patisserie (I took a photo of it for Carm on Run Keeper) and Pudd had the same cake.       ... Angeles where the hand prints of the rich and famous adorn the pavement. In this case it was footprints of well known sports athletes such as Daly Thompson and Ed Moses. Both these men excelled at their sports, from what I remember of the 1992 Olympics. The late Seve Ballesteros had a foot print as did Martina Navratilova, Sir Steve Redgrave, Rafa Nadal and a host of other sports stars who all had one thing in common: they reached the very pinnacle of their profession.

      ... And then I was on the hunt for underwear. I don't know if there is an actual department store in Barcelona with reasonably priced undergarments, but I couldn't find it.       The east of the cathedral was designed completely differently: the figures were much more traditionally carved, more realistic. The scene depicted Jesus' birth and life. Gaudi said he wanted the cross at the top of the cathedral to be the first thing sailors would see as they came into the port to welcome them. Loved that.
