... delle Cascate has three hikes, 1/2 hour, 1 hour and 2 hour, labeled facile (easy), medio (medium) and difficile (hard); and according to the flier, it’s open in March on Sundays from 10:00 to 18:00. I check the park’s on-line site, and it shows it is open as well. We decide to go. What could go wrong?

We booked through the travel-agency SlopeTrotter on the Internet. We flew from Copenhagen to Innsbruck and then got a 4 hours transfer to Passo Tonale by buss. We stayed at the hotel La Mirandola that lays a bit far away from the village center and the ski area.

The ski area have most red slopes and lays close beside each other. To get around there we had to cross other slopes and that included slopes with button lifts. There where few long and original slopes but ...

... through narrower and narrower mountain roads until we turn into what looks like someone's driveway, and come to a stone road, which the navigator identifies as off-road. We decide to skip Baldi and head to Garda, but navigator starts to take us back to Corno Acquilio. We stuff it in a glove compartment and follow signs to towns on the way to Garda. It's a scenic and pedestrian lakeside town, about a half-hour from our place.

... s greatest buildings. Interior tours don't start until March 15, and then only on Wednesday, so we take the garden tour and lots of photos. Navigator couldn't find it on earlier trip to Vicenza, so we relied on the computer to find it this time.

... because of construction (remember that one-way bridge you crossed at least 106 tines, well it's still one way, going away from here) and non si fermera qui (will not stop here, touristo stupido, that one way bridge again) until March. Si ferma inveca a (it stops instead at)…It's a long and dark walk (and run) because the buses stop running soon.
