... the instructions were 'pitch where you want' so we checked the compass and pitched facing South in reach of an electric hook up amongst what are clearly transitees either heading home or away. As I make this entry there are units moving off on their travels.

But the pool, the gardens & olive terraces with views out over the sea will linger in the memory...it is the savage beauty & remoteness of this area that must have been the anchor that tied SD to this place all his adult life, despite the jet setting.

We have spent 2 wonderful, relaxing days in Tossa de Mar - there are so many narrow cobblestone alleys with shops, bars, restaurants, hotels and hostels. Mainly whitewashed buildings with orange terracotta tiled rooves, but some with planter boxes or pots on their small balconies. Amazingly cars are allowed to drive through many of these streets that are only just wide enough to drive on and look like pedestrian ...
