Today was our final biking so it started early at 8am. The tour of the ocean and banana plantations was amazing. This island continues to try and make a profit thru bananas but the competition is tough. The route was 11.5 miles with winding, rolling roads all along the sea. We got back to turn everything in and begin our wind down. Our last lunch was at the pool in beautiful sunny ...

... for a bathroom and snack break. This little town on the side of the mountain reminded Ava of Machu Pichu. We shuttled from there over some breath taking mountain roads. The drivers in these islands go to amazing driving schools to maneuver the roads. The vans dropped us at the beginning of a long and winding 6.5 mile descent to the lunch destination of Gaurachio. On our way down Martin was in the back when his bike ...

It was a lot like having the brakes dragging you to a stop. I managed to pull over and ...

Partying the night before having to catch a flight the next day, is never such a good idea in hindsight. We got back about 3:30 and had to pack. Bye bye Tenerife, the dream ends for now at least. I said an optimistic goodbye to Darina who is staying in Tenerife, but at an apartment, and also said goodbye to Cecile, Brian, Miguel and Patrick, just some of the nice people I met. The ...

Day Eight (falling in love with Sebastián)

... J ready to get going so we wandered from our apartment around the Baha into the oldest section of town (after pausing for a late breaky and coffee at a restaurant/cafe positioned about midway along the semi circle and providing the most amazing sweeping views onto the Baha) where we wandered through the traditionally-Spanish network of small roads and lanes (although unlike other places we've seen, these are generally laid out in a grid pattern.) San Sebastián is not only renowned ...
