We had our train to Girona booked for 10.24am. We decided to leave home at 9 which would give us enough time to grab a quick bite and head to the station Barcelona Sans.

... now have some fish restaurants – and some even open! Good lunch and nice wine. We then walked up to Platja del Canadell, the longest of Calella de Palafrugell`s beaches at about 200m. Being winter though (early December) the town was almost completely closed, or being refurbished, to be available for the next big holiday rush at Christmas.

And so to home and the cathedral christmas markets but that is elsewhere.

... pork steak, roasted chicken, creme carmel, lemon ice-cream and a full bottle of red wine...all served by a waiter from Venezuela who spoke English very well! One of our best meals...!

The drive home was lovely, with a glorious sunset painting the clouds pink...back to the farm, with donkey, pony and cattle awaiting us...a perfect day!

... Jewish synagogue and ritual bath that date back to the 12thC, a time before the Jews of Besalu were persecuted, ghettoized and eventually expelled. We were able to wander all around the town I impeded, as we were the only visitors around..not much going on there at this time of year, but lovely to see, nonetheless!

... decorated and painted by Dali himself, right down to the last detail, as a showcase for his life's work. After the old theatre was destroyed during the Spanish Civil War, Dali convinced the mayor to let him convert it into a museum; the building itself is a work of art, as are all it's contents, both inside and out.
