... a mountain side with magnificent view of lake. Delightful family.
Next evening invited Anne Muriel to dine with us at a patio restaurant in nearby village.
Enjoying being lazy and reading some days, but often ended up in village bar of an evening with huge "blue" moon hovering.
Simon ended up taking the bike for storage at the triumph dealer in Granada.
Taxi to Malaga where we caught a plane to Manchester on August 5th. ...

... in his lilac gingham shirts and T-shirt with Snoopy on it. Not great that he'd fallen asleep on the way there because he'd been up since 5.30am, so we had to wake him up. We got there and he seemed fine, so we walked away and agreed wed collect him an hour later. Just induction today apparently! As I walked away crying again, we strolled to a cafe nearby and awaited the phone call, to say he was fine and come back at half one. Unfortunately the nursery rang me less ...

... we were back to trying to restart them. No luck for about 20 minutes while my pasta sat steeping in now hot but not boiling water. Finally Norm got the burners back on - and we had a passable meal while Norm (as everyone knows, who never cooks) took credit for helping with dinner. He insists it counts as having made a meal.
We are finding that being on the 2nd floor this time seems somewhat noisier than our 4th floor apartment last time, particularly on Friday ...

... Civil Guard established the post on the summit, the ruins of which still exist today. On the final approach to the top, passing the subsidiary peak of Luerillo (Little Lucero) the path has been properly engineered into zigzags, and what might otherwise be a tough scramble up scree slopes is a comfortable walk (albeit one which still takes another hour and a half).

... we returned, we had a light & late dinner with Wendy & Jose and met another Canadian couple, Wendy's former principal and her husband. Though I hadn't ever taught with Dorothy, nor had I known her well, our paths had crossed at workshops etc. All couples seemed to be comfortable with each other, it was a good fit. The following morning we met for coffee on the beach at Pinball's ( more friends) then took in the local street market which gets set up ...
