... and the floor of the area with the ceiling paintings is a nice 10 feet below the roof, preventing claustrophobia and graffiti. We really enjoyed our visit and wished we had more time to explore the grounds.

... a small Swiss town nestled in the mountains with a pretty clear river flowing through the centre, with cobbled lanes and stone houses, cafes and bars on the terraces, and a medieval tower right in the centre. Definitely worth a stop.

50 kilometres later we were on the Atlantic coast and settled into a nice clean little campground on the hills above the beach. Tomorrow we will see more of this rich resort ...

Well after quite an uneventful journey- which i found disappointing as everyone told me it would be a really rough crossing- we arrived in Spain and guess what? it was snowing.... we started the drive south hopeful that the weather would improve and eventually it did we were really high up in the mountains and the views were stunning. Adios Espana.

Vandaag nemen we afscheid van Spanje. Afscheid is een beetje sterven, heeft iemand gezegd.
Dat vind ik dan weer een beetje overdreven, maar Spanje was de moeite waard.
Met zijn hoge bergen met heerlijke afdalingen, die ik bij het beklimmen heb vervloekt.
Het prachtige landschap, zo heel anders dan Frankrijk. Zo uitgestrekt en zo mooi van kleur.
Die eindeloze goudgele stoppelvelden ...

... set back which we didnt discover till the morning.
Next day good value golf at Santa Marina, an unusual course needing a buggy to negotiate all the ups and downs. Followed by a lazy late lunch in thier restaurant. -good fish dish.
Then a brilliant drive along the coast to Zierbana (port for Bilbao), brief stop at a startlingly busy beach and then overnight at the port before catching the ferry back to Potsmouth.
