Part of the IES program is a school trip to Tarragona. A region just south of Barcelona in Catalunya. It is famous for its amazing beaches and beautiful Roman ruins. You will see from the photos, 6 pools with slides and lifeguards with whistles that they loved blowing, especially at the O'Hara girls. Grace was on a last warning from her favourite lifeguard for sliding down head first, or sideways, and our ball throwing also allowed us to hear how clever they were ...

in Tarragona is market day! “Tom” directed us to “a car park
in the city centre” and, yes you guessed, it was the one under the
big, big market on “Las Ramblas”. We got past it though and
Tarragona really does have it all. Las Ramblas is a lovely avenue.
There's a Roman amphitheatre on the sea front, there's a lovely

his car wash to get 4000 kilometres of dirt off my motor for no
