Landing at the airport I quickly found that they only had one ATM and it was out of order and there was nowhere to exchange cash. So rather than getting the bus I was lumped with a taxi.
It was a small bump in what was a chilled five days in the little town of Corralejo in the north of Fuerteventura, one of the Canary Islands. It's a kiteboarding and surfing paradise so not quite my cup of tea but I really enjoyed the laid back vibe ...

... Today we're catching the brand spanking new Edinburgh trams to the airport! What an experience, they are so fast and flash and run almost door-to-door for us. Kev is convinced that the tram bells sounds like the McDonalds beeping timers, and talks about how hungry he is the whole way!

... ocean, it really was something else. People kept flooding onto the beach and some people were wading waist deep into the water (fully clothed I should add) just got a view of the madness. At 2 minutes after 7am the horn rang and away they went!
