... any other church in Europe and is a "must see" if you are visiting Barcelona.

Tonight we we walked to the square for dinner. Afterward we wandered through the avenue of shops and Hannah bought herself a nice pair of sandals. Annie tried hard to buy some as well but unfortunately they did not have her size! After an ice cream we headed back to the hotel to pack as we move to Madrid tomorrow, a 600 Kilometre trip!

... for the house paella, called Paella Cheriff, which had crayfish, octopus, squid, and mussels on it. With the paella came a bottle of Spanish wine, bread, a seafood salad, and a shot of coffee liqueur, all for around €25.00 each. Equipped, we had a Spanish breakfast and went into the street for coffee and orange juice. From here we walked purposefully down to the basilica, to be early. There was no line to speak of and we were admitted. As I have written, this place has been in my mind since 1976, my first visit. I didn't go in last time, I don't remember why. ... crazy since you turn around and you can see high rise buildings and restaurants etc which remind you that you're actually in the middle of a huge city. Anyways the beach was great, beautiful hot weather and crazy wavy sea. We spent a good chunk of time watching people get wasted by the ginormous waves. But it was actually super fun to swim in if you timed it right with the waves. A pleasant temperature too which cannot be said of the beaches in New Zealand. ...

Oh man, I've had some long days, but this one was just bleghr. Up at 7, out of the hostel with pack at 8, bus station at 8:30, try to buy a bus ticket for 9, find out they are full until 1pm so wait for 4 hours at the terminal, it's an 8~ hour bus ride to Barcelona, get to the terminal at 9:30pm, Hostel check-in at 10pm and ready for bed.
