    ... and can only be justified in photographs rather than words. It reminded me of Paris, but with a distinctly Soviet twist. Whereas I’d had some vague understanding whilst in Berlin of the language, Czech was most definitely a complete mystery so we were rather relieved that nearly everyone spoke English which made things for us tourists a lot easier.

    ... when your start and destination are right next to each other - so I think there's some issue with Google Maps servers today. I figured out that if I manually input the starting position, rather than "my location" then it worked OK, so we finally made it into town.
