Day 123 Ben got up early and went to his usual early-phone-calls-to-the-UK haunt to try and call his mum. He tends to sit in Sam's room because Sam doesn't live in it any more, it is close to the router and it is enough doors and walls away from the other bedrooms that he won't wake anybody up. Today when he walked in there were sleeping teenage lads everywhere; Will and his mates had appropriated the room for the night. Kori sat in bed for a bit ...

My burn came up really sore last night so I decided it would be a good idea to stay out of the sun today, I was going to walk to the markets until I realised the map I had really wasn't to schedule, luckily I looked up on my phone and there was a bus going there that was $4 return, bonus! I got the bus there and wandered round for a couple hours, managed to get a new phone charger lead and ...

The Accidental Tourists

Wandering from town to town within Queensland has been one surprise after another. Having never been to Australia, we have just been guided by a few good pointers by friends who have come before us and the rest we have left to instinct. Before leaving Mooloolaba, we had to take the LYC burgie on a tour of the Sunshine Coast Yacht Club. There are actually two clubs side by side. The other is simply called The Yacht Club. They are located on a peninsula with a bay on one side ...
