    TUESDAY: We had a fantastic day and really enjoyed our visit to Lake Como. It was definitely worth the drive and effort! What a truly beautiful place.

    We set out early at 8.30 in the hope to beat the heat and get a car park near the funicular railway that takes you up a very steep gradient to lovely views at the top. We had a nice time wandering around at the top and David was very taken with an old old hotel ...

    ... a few minutes, and soon we were following the signs to the lighthouse. We were also on the hunt for another geocache. Already the day was incredibly hot and we were sweating and we hadn't even started our 30 minute walk up the hill. Luckily for us the path was shaded by the trees and this time and we didn't have to walk up in the sun.
